Required Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems (Ubuntu/CentOS) and network administration.

• Strong knowledge of Cisco routing/switching, Mikrotik RouterOS, and network troubleshooting tools.

• Experience managing fiber optic networks — splicing, OTDR testing, and link optimization.

• Proficiency in virtual server setup, firewall management, and monitoring (Zabbix/PRTG/Nagios).

• Understanding of BGP, OSPF, NAT, and QoS configurations.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in English both written and spoken is essential.

About the Role

• IPTEC is seeking a skilled Technical Engineer to join its South Sudan operations team, supporting ISP infrastructure, enterprise clients, and AI transformation projects.

• The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Linux administration, Cisco networking, Mikrotik routing, virtual servers, and fiber optic systems — ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and performance across our core network.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage Linux-based servers and virtual environments (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Hyper-V).

• Manage and troubleshoot ISP backbone systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.

• Install, maintain, and optimize Mikrotik routers, Cisco devices, and fiber optic transmission equipment.

• Oversee core server operations, including virtualization, cloud, and security.

• Ensure network uptime, service quality, and customer SLA compliance.

• Perform routing, IP planning, VLAN, and VPN configuration for enterprise clients.

• Support Odoo ERP integrations, AI monitoring tools, and automation systems in collaboration with Bangladesh HQ.

• Provide technical support and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
