Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline.
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering will be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have to source fabrics & trims, based on customer’s demand and send to customer for further review.
∎ To analyze and understand the fabric category based on inspiration.
∎ Offer fabric option to designer for each style for final fabric selection.
∎ Need to understand US and European buyer’s taste and have to know about trend & color concept.
∎ Able to give fabric technical solution and fabric selection instantly.
∎ Secure sample fabric and trims from mill for every development style.
∎ Have to provide FIS (fabric information sheet) and price to the costing dept.
∎ Pull out new trendy fabrics and trims from mill visit and update to the design director.
∎ Have to make fabric presentation with full details and background story and send to design director.
∎ Twice in a week fabric and trim mills to be visited.
∎ Have to give direction to mills to develop any new fabric or trims.
∎ Continuously source new fabrics and trims mill and maintain good relationship with them.
∎ Any other job given by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 year(s) hands on experience in similar position in design, development and R&D department of garments factory.
∎ Experienced on fabric construction, component and denim wash as well.
∎ Good knowledge on Photoshop, illustrator, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS word and Excel.
∎ Excellent command over written and verbal English.
∎ Should have interpersonal negotiation skills and professional network.
