Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Manufacturing, or related field.
Strong knowledge of garment costing, fabrics, trims, sampling, and production processes.
Excellent communication in English.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) .
Experience handling international buyers independently.
Knowledge of ERP/PLM/ASM systems is an added advantage.
Buyer & Order Management
Handle buyer communication independently for assigned accounts.
Manage inquiries, costing, order confirmation, and execution.
Maintain strong relationships with buyers and buying houses.
Coordinate approvals for fabrics, trims, lab dips, strike-offs, fit samples, PP samples, and shipment samples.
Product Development
Coordinate with design, sampling, and sourcing teams for new developments.
Drive innovation in fabrics, trims, washes, prints, and constructions.
Ensure developments align with buyer expectations, target FOBs, and timelines.
Costing & Commercial Management
Prepare garment costing sheets and negotiate pricing with buyers.
Monitor margins and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Coordinate with process control on pricing, R&D on material availability.
Team Coordination
Guide and support junior merchandisers and assistants.
Conduct regular follow-ups with cross-functional teams.
Maintain accurate merchandising records, trackers, and reports.
Production Coordination & Process Management
Ensure seamless handover and transition of product information from merchandising to production teams.
Align developments and bulk execution with production timelines, testing standards, technical requirements, and operational processes.
Coordinate closely with production, planning, quality, technical, and commercial teams to ensure smooth order execution from development to shipment.
Track Time & Action (TNA) calendars and proactively follow up on critical milestones to avoid delays.
Identify potential risks related to raw materials, approvals, testing, capacity, or execution, and escalate concerns in a timely manner.
Ensure all approvals, technical details, testing requirements, and production comments are accurately communicated to relevant teams.
Raw Material & Supplier Coordination
Weekly follow-up with team on fabric, trim, and raw material developments to ensure timely in-house deliveries aligned to production plans.
Coordinate with suppliers on approvals, testing standards, delivery schedules, and quality expectations prior to bulk handover.
