Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems (motors, drives, sensors, PLCs), Utility System.
- Experience in accessories machinery (poly bag sealing, flexor/gravure printing, label cutting & printing).
- Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and troubleshooting diagrams.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and spare parts planning.
Responsibilities & Context:
1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for Poly Machines, Label Printing Machines, and Label Cutting Machines, Woven Level Machine.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues promptly.
- Ensure all machines are lubricated, calibrated, and serviced on time to minimize downtime.
2. Troubleshooting & Repair
- Identify root causes of breakdowns and take corrective action immediately.
- Carry out quick troubleshooting of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, heaters, and printing units.
- Maintain stock of critical spare parts to reduce repair delays.
3. Installation & Commissioning
- Support in new machine installation, commissioning, and trial run.
- Ensure alignment, proper wiring, and safety measures during machine setup.
- Prepare machine documentation and operator guidelines after installation.
4. Machine Performance & Optimization
- Monitor machine efficiency (OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Work with the production team to reduce waste, improve printing quality, and maintain cutting accuracy.
- Optimize utilities (air, steam, electricity) for cost savings.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during repair and servicing.
- Ensure machines comply with fire, electrical, and environmental safety standards.
- Train operators and junior technicians on safe machine handling and first-level maintenance.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain logbooks for breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Prepare monthly reports on downtime, cost analysis, and spare part consumption.
- Recommend long-term improvement projects for machine reliability.
7. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work with production supervisors to schedule maintenance without disturbing production deadlines.
- Lead Kaizen/Lean initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and increase machine uptime.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians for skill development.
