Responsibilities & Context:
- Analyze and improve existing production processes to maximize efficiency in the manufacturing of lingerie.
- Conduct time studies, motion analysis, and method studies to identify bottlenecks, minimize non-value-added activities, and establish accurate Standard Minute Values (SMVs).
- Plan optimal machine and line layouts to ensure smooth workflow and achieve maximum productivity. Balance manpower and machine allocation daily based on style requirements and absenteeism.
- Set daily production targets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, productivity, and cost per minute. Analyze variations between planned and actual production and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Kaizen, 5S, to eliminate waste and foster an improvement culture.
- Prepare and maintain various reports, including daily/weekly/monthly performance reports, WIP (Work in Process) reports, and capacity study reports for management review.
- Coordinate with the HR department to conduct skill assessments, develop a skill matrix, and identify training needs for operators. Manage the operator incentive schemes based on productivity benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the production, planning, technical, and merchandising teams during the pre-production phase (e.g., PP meetings, pilot runs) to ensure a smooth new style launch and timely delivery.
