Responsibilities & Context:
Strategic:
Assist the Head of Supply Chain in developing and implementing strategic plans for the supply chain department.
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align supply chain goals with overall company objectives.
Provide support to the supply chain team, ensuring smooth operations and effective execution of strategies.
Global Market analysis of Cement Industries.
Operational:
Handle procurement of raw materials and spare parts.
Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery.
Optimize transportation and logistics operations for raw materials and finished goods.
Establish and maintain strong relationship with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality & delivery standards.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as raw materials shortages or transportation disruptions.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Work closely with the General Manager to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management and logistics.
Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation:
Collaboration with the procurement team to evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-team partnership.
Monitor supplier performance, address any issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
Drive continuous improvement in vendor performance through regular.
Inventory Planning and Control:
Assist in developing inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
Implement inventory tracking systems, conduct regular audits, and take corrective actions to address any discrepancies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Foster strong collaboration and communication across departments including sales, marketing, production and finance.
