Responsibilities & Context:

Strategic:

• Assist the Head of Supply Chain in developing and implementing strategic plans for the supply chain department.

• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align supply chain goals with overall company objectives.

• Provide support to the supply chain team, ensuring smooth operations and effective execution of strategies.

• Global Market analysis of Cement Industries.

Operational:

• Handle procurement of raw materials and spare parts.

• Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and timely delivery.

• Optimize transportation and logistics operations for raw materials and finished goods.

• Establish and maintain strong relationship with suppliers and vendors.

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality & delivery standards.

• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as raw materials shortages or transportation disruptions.

Supply Chain Optimization:

• Work closely with the General Manager to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management and logistics.

• Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation:

• Collaboration with the procurement team to evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-team partnership.

• Monitor supplier performance, address any issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

• Drive continuous improvement in vendor performance through regular.

Inventory Planning and Control:

• Assist in developing inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.

• Implement inventory tracking systems, conduct regular audits, and take corrective actions to address any discrepancies.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Foster strong collaboration and communication across departments including sales, marketing, production and finance.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business goals.

• Participant in regular meeting and provide inputs for related to supply chain strategies and initiatives.

Risk Management and Compliance:  

• Assist in identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, regulatory changes, and quality issues.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain operations.

• Implement risk management strategic and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.

Team Development and Leadership:

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
