1. The applicant should have knowledge & experience in CAD, Cutting, and Production.
2. Must have strong leadership, and management capability and be target-oriented.
3. Good communication skills in both English and Bengali (oral and written)·
4. Having good knowledge of using auto-cutter (Lectra) and auto spreader.
5. Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks within a preset timeframe.
6. Preference will be given to candidates working under EPZ.
7. Sound knowledge of cutting in a knit or lingerie garments factory.

Job Context:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager - cutting to join our Garments Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the cutting section, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cutting process, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that all cut panels meet our stringent quality requirements. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our production line and the delivery of top-quality garments to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop & lead the team for the smooth operation of the cutting section.
2. Make the cutting plan as per documentation.
3. Receive fabrics and other accessories as per booking consumption and ensure production with quality in cutting.
4. Differentiate the fabrics as per quality segregation.
5. Understand and maintain 100% quality & standards compliance in cutting operations and department.
6. Cross-check the QC report and obtain the QC approval for the sample/size and bulk cutting.
7. Ensure fabric relaxation as per fabrics type & buyer`s requirement.
8. Ensure Lay on time & inspection - marking and cutting the fabrics accordingly.
9. 100% cut-panel inspection and report accordingly.
10. Cutting production quantity has to be reported as per the QC Pass quantity.
11. Prepare monthly/weekly cutting plans considering the shipment schedules.
12. Strictly control on waste management by reducing cutting rejection & fabric waste.
13. Train the team members as required, manage, and increase efficiency.
14. Attend the PP meeting of each style/order and implement the guidelines mentioned for cutting.
15. Ensure smooth operation of the Cutting section by problem analysis, root cause identification, and problem-solving.
16. In case of any shortcutting, report to the concerned department immediately with reasons of shortcutting.
17. In case of any fabric quality issue, need to find out the root cause and solve the problem.
18. Keep liaison with the Planning, Merchandising Department, Production Head, Quality Manager, Dyeing and Finishing Department as required.
19. Strictly maintain the SOP of cutting.
