Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
∎ MBA in Supply Chain Management will be an added qualification to be considered.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for managing the letter of credit (LC) process, including negotiating terms with suppliers, issuing letters of credit, and ensuring compliance with LC regulations and requirements.
∎ Manage the clearing and forwarding (C&F) process, including managing relationships with clearing and forwarding agents, negotiating rates, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations and NBR.
∎ Maintain a complete report based on LC opening, Pay Order, shipment & Insurance for keeping up to date with the latest import details.
∎ Manage claims for loss or damage of goods as per the agreement with carriers and/or insurance companies for reducing loss of goods.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulations related to law of the land, international trade (import), including customs regulations, trade agreements, and avoid penalties.
∎ Minimize costs of import, including negotiating rates with suppliers and service providers where applicable, minimizing duties and taxes, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
∎ Identify and manage risks including potential disruptions to supply or demand and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
∎ Monitor the performance of the LC and C&F functions of the team members, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, compliance with regulations, and cost management, and developing action plans to address areas of improvement.
