Educational Requirements:
∎ Preferred BSc Fisheries Hons and MS in Aquaculture (BAU, SAU, PSTU, Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University, BSMAU) or other Public Agricultural University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Understanding fish feed, feeding and stock management.
∎ Understanding advance aquaculture technology like IPRS, Bottom clean and Race way system and others intensive and super intensive culture.
∎ Keeping accurate computerized records, data analysis.
∎ Understanding and analyze the water quality. Checking that the water quality and oxygen levels are right for the fish
∎ Assisting the Project Manager and management to perform their role effectively.
∎ Managing fish culture and harvesting schedules and monitoring the health of the fish.
∎ Recruiting, supervising and training the staff who feed fish and daily pond management.
∎ Making sure hygiene standards are high, to prevent disease.
∎ Keeping records of the numbers and size of fish
∎ Ordering equipment, chemicals and fish feed & Ingredients according need and ability to analyze the need of proper medicine and lifesaving ingredients and equipment of fish.
∎ Assist Keeping financial records, planning budgets and carrying out a range of administrative duties.
∎ Supervising staff
∎ Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all employees work safely
∎ Ensuring environmentally friendly work practices
∎ Carrying out research into fish farming.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Minimum 3 Years’ experience on Aquaculture, fish farming and operating Advance Aquaculture Technology.
∎ Skills in Pond Management, water quality management, feed and feeding management, trial design and execution, Training.
∎ Knowledge in Aquaculture, Pisciculture, Fish Farm Management, Advance Aquaculture Technology.
