Responsibilities & Context:

In this role, you need have mentality to take challenges in Sea & with water. Visit sites and premises as part of a regular inspection program in the deep see. To be a part of the OGC Team, you must know how to swim.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out proper reference sampling of various liquid cargoes (LNG, Petroleum etc).     

  • Ascertaining of quantity of cargo/Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) at Moheshkhali deep sea and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) at Chittagong anchorage/Payra/Mongla.    

  • Review of job instruction prior to inspection ensuring that everything is in order. 

  •  Supervise loading, unloading and transshipment of bulk liquid product, crude and gas tankers. 

  • Inspect shore tanks, ship’s tanks, related pumps and lines for cleanliness and perform wall wash when required.

  • Measure shore tanks and ships` tanks and ascertain volumes and weights of cargo according to the Standard method of calculation. 

  • Take action to prevent possible contamination during loading or unloading. 

  • Reconcile any variance after loading or unloading. 

  • Record all timings and occurrences during loading or unloading and issue of NOAD or LOP to Chief Officer or terminal.

  • Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform inspection. 

  • Check with Port Operations, agents and terminals for arrival and berthing status of vessels. 

  • Check draft field report and organize report before handing over to Operations Executive.

  • Have good communication skills orally and to write reports of results of findings. 

  • Update report of daily operations to the operation line manager.
