Job Summary
Responsible for the design and engineering of Solar PV systems, including site assessment, system sizing, layout, electrical design, BOQ/BOM, energy yield analysis, and technical documentation.
Workplace: Work at office & site.
Key Responsibilities
- Design On-Grid, Off-Grid and Hybrid Solar PV systems.
- Prepare system sizing, module/string configuration, inverter selection, and energy
- yield calculations.
- Prepare AutoCAD layouts, SLDs, cable routing, earthing, lightning protection, and
- equipment layouts.
- Conduct site surveys and assess rooftop/ground installation feasibility.
- Prepare accurate BOQ/BOM, material quantities, and cost estimates.
- Perform cable sizing, voltage-drop, DC/AC capacity, protection, and basic electrical
- calculations.
- Use AutoCAD, PVsyst/Helioscope, SketchUp, and MS Excel.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, site, client, consultant, and supplier teams.
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and
- applicable standards.
