In line with the expansion of activities of the CHEC Bangladesh branch, we are looking for a Civil Engineer proficient in the Chinese language with suitable professional experience to join the Business Development Department as the Assistant Engineer.

Post: Assistant Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Ø Prepare documentation in Chinese and operate relevant Chinese software as required;

Ø Review and analyze tender and bidding documents;

Ø Prepare summaries of tender requirements and qualification criteria;

Ø Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare comparison sheets;

Ø Assist in estimating direct and indirect project costs;

Ø Prepare RFQs and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors;

Ø Collect and analyze material and construction cost data from local and international sources;

Ø Support market research on ongoing and upcoming projects;

Ø Maintain and update material and cost databases.

Essential Requirements:

Ø Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Marine Engineering from a reputed University;

Ø Graduates from Chinese universities will be given preference;

Ø Minimum two (02) years of relevant professional experience;

Ø Must be proficient in both Chinese and English languages (verbal and written);

Ø Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

Ø High level of attention to detail and accuracy;

Ø Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
