Job Context:
∎ SOS Children`s Village International in Bangladesh (www.sos-bangladesh.org) is a non-governmental social devolvement organisation provides care for the children who have lost parental care or who are at risk of losing parental care and deprived of caring family environment. SOS Children`s Villages International is currently working in 137 countries and territories around the world. In Bangladesh, we have been working since 1972 and presently has programmes in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Chattogram, Bogura, Sylhet and Bagerhat.

∎ Our Programmes contribute to delivering on SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children.
∎ Job Location: SOS Children`s Village Khulna
∎ Nature of Job: Residential (with family accommodation)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support to the Project Director in all the developmental process and areas of the SOS Children's Village and its families
∎ Actively support SOS Mothers and Aunts by holding regular group or individual coaching/ counselling/ development sessions.
∎ Contribute to the development of village plan and assist the Project Director in policy making activities.
∎ Support Project Director for continuous improvement of direct essential services, capacity building and advocacy to ensure relevance of programme interventions for childcare and education provided to target group in the location.
∎ Promote a family atmosphere in the day-to-day operations of the location project while maintaining a professional attitude on matters pertaining to job descriptions and obligations.
∎ Ability to produce analytical report, best practices for the development of the programme
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Must have 4-5 years of Project Management experience in social development sector /NGO especially in child-related organization.
∎ Have knowledge of child rights & protection issues and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
∎ Candidates should have a good command of English languages (both written and speaking).
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, email, and the internet is a must and flexible to work in software.
∎ Strong interest in the needs and development of children and youth.
∎ Candidates are expected to have strong leadership quality, excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Willingness to work at and to stay in within an SOS Children's Village
∎ Sensitivity to gender issues
∎ Knowledge of RBM and Project Cycle Management will be an added advantage.
∎ Willingness to make a long term commitment
∎ Strong moral character and good physical & mental health
∎ Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
∎ Consolidated 40,000/- and Family accommodation within the premises.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ After probation period of 06 (Six) months, upon confirmation, incumbent will be entitled to receive regular Salary Scale along with Festival Bonus, Contributory Provident Fund and Gratuity, Children's Education Allowance, Group Insurance (Death & Accidental) as per existing policy of the organization.
