Job Responsibilities:
∎ Attend cutting meeting, refer to cutting plans and identify /prioritize urgent customer orders, organize internal department operations and instruct subordinates accordingly in order to conduct CAM operations whilst ensuring smooth flow of garment construction process.
∎ Work closely with merchandising department, negotiate and obtain maximum order quantities, apply the best methods in order achieve the cost effectiveness and ensure optimize the utilization of fabric and thereby meet customer requirements at the highest profitability.
∎ Identify variation between cost vs. fabric consumption, address all issues such as width changes, pattern changes, ratio changes, quantity levels etc. and discuss with relevant officials / departments in order to reconcile and apply best solution.
∎ Ensure all orders are reconciled prior to cut and dockets/markers are cut as defined by customer maximum shippable quantities (Example cut 102 % using 100 % fabric) while coordinating and resolving issues pertaining to the process with relevant departmental teams.
∎ Maintain & update accurate information of production consumption of all new styles in Product Lifecycle Management system.
∎ Ensure resources such as systems, computers stationery etc. are available in order to ensure smooth functioning of the department operations.
∎ Ensure preparation / maintenance of following reports in order to facilitate management decision making - Daily efficiency report, Consumption saving indicator, Cost saving indicator, Plotter utilization, Marker Utilization, Marker issued to production, BOM vs. Actual Consumption Report.
∎ Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
