Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with sales, marketing, distribution, finance, and production teams to forecast periodical sales target for the General Trade channel
∎ Drive business planning for General Trade (GT) by cascading monthly sales targets to Sales Officers
∎ Planning calendars of promotions, activations and new product introduction and aligning the same with chains and ensuring implementation through Brand & Communication team.
∎ Develop roadmap to achieve Sales targets for GT focusing on coverage expansion, distributor-wise plans and logistics plans
∎ Achieve volume and revenue objectives of the GT sales within budget, time and policy parameters through efficient control of the distributor network and sales staff
∎ Assess distributors and dealers performance against market potential and recommend to change or increase distributors and dealers where necessary
∎ Appoint and train new distributors and dealers in the market
∎ Develop coverage expansion plans and guide team members in driving achievement of the same
∎ Guide team in building relationships with channel partners; proactively participate in building relationships with critical partners
∎ Drive visibility initiatives and trade promotions in line with the marketing plan
∎ Liaise with the customers and credit management team to assist efficient credit management
∎ Interact with distributors and dealers on a regular basis and seek feedback; address any grievances in a timely and prompt manner
∎ Oversee timely submission of required data to Sales leadership on monthly basis - sales monthly reports, distributor claims, team expenses etc.
∎ Ensure that all sales activities are completed in a compliant way, ensuring full compliance with company's Code of Conduct and local laws
∎ Set individual sales targets, performance plans, and rigorous objective standards for sales officers
∎ Develop a defined sales process and ensure sales officers adhere to the process
∎ Analyze sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps.
∎ Track sales performance as per area and product categories and share with company leadership.
∎ Ensure that team members use sales technologies, such as ordering apps, correctly.
∎ Collect regular market feedback to remain updated about the industry, competitors, price, trade offers or any other sales activities and the behavior of Bengal Meat's brands' target customers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 32 years
∎ Communication skills in English is essentially required.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills.
