∎ Experience: At least 5 years of experience in advocacy, policy research, or governance-related projects in the development sector.
∎ Strong understanding of human rights, governance, gender equality, and policy frameworks in Bangladesh.
∎ Proven ability to develop and implement policy advocacy campaigns.
∎ Excellent networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital advocacy tools.
∎ Experience in working with international donors, NGOs, and government institutions.
∎ Strong analytical and research skills.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Commitment to gender sensitivity, child protection, and ethical advocacy practices.
∎ Willingness to travel to field locations for advocacy activities and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement advocacy strategies aligned with CDS’s mission and program goals.
∎ Conduct policy research, analyze relevant laws, policies, and regulations, and prepare policy briefs and reports.
∎ Engage with government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to promote policy changes for the targeted community.
∎ Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and campaigns to raise awareness on key issues.
∎ Represent CDS in meetings, networks, and coalitions related to advocacy and governance.
∎ Develop advocacy materials, including position papers, press releases, and communication strategies.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the impact of advocacy initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
∎ Support capacity-building activities for team members and community groups on advocacy techniques.

∎ Job Context
∎ Chandradip Development Society (CDS) is going to implement the "Empowering Fisher Folk Women through Information and Inclusion" project in collaboration with Samajik Unnayan Sangstha (SUS) and media partner Report71.com. The project aims to improve information access, digital literacy, and social inclusion among fisher folk women, particularly the marginalized Mantha community, by strengthening advocacy, media engagement, and participatory governance.
∎ We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advocacy Specialist to lead its advocacy efforts and policy influence initiatives for the project title” Empowering Fisher Folk Women through Information and Inclusion".
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement advocacy strategies aligned with CDS’s mission and program goals.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ The salary package is monthly BDT 40,000, excluding admissible benefits like Mobile bill, Transport Bill, TA/DA during official in-country travel
