  • Master`s Degree in Social Science or other relevant disciplines. But educational qualifications will be relaxed for the relevant experienced applicants.

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in equivalent position of the relevant Field.

  • Applicants should have experience in with Program in a National NGO.

  • Work experience on child protection system and community development at slum/rural community. areas will give priority in selection process.

  • Additional Requirements

  • Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field in the Project Area.

  • Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.

  • Good writing skills in English.

  • Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license is preferable.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project titled “Community-Based Child Protection Mechanism for the Children of Garment Worker’s in Bangladesh” at Kashimpur, Gazipur City Corporation and Mirpur, Dhaka . The project is funded by the Garcia Foundation and supported by Terre des Hommes Netherlands. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Project Field Officer ’ for the mentioned project. The position’s desk office will be at Kashimpur in Gazipur City Corporation.

Project Name : Community-Based Child Protection Mechanism for the Children of Garment Worker’s in Bangladesh” (CB-CPM PLUS)

Job Description & Responsibilities :

  • Implement project activities in accordance with the approved work plan and project objectives.
  • Mobilize and strengthen Community based Child Protection mechanism, Formed Children & Youth group and conduct regular meeting and follow up the group activity in order to strengthen their capacity for reducing all forms of violence specially online and offline child sexual abuse and exploitation.
  • Supervise Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres and provide technical guidance to facilitators and volunteers.
  • Maintain regular communication with ECD centres management committees and parents to ensure children's participation and wellbeing.
  • Organize awareness sessions, meetings, campaigns, and trainings on child protection, child rights, gender equality, safeguarding, and positive parenting.
  • Coordinate with local government institutions, schools, service providers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to strengthen child protection mechanisms.
  • Support Youth Innovation Labs (YIL) and Child Protection Forums (CPF) through capacity-building initiatives and youth engagement activities.
  • Identify vulnerable children and facilitate appropriate referral and case management services.
  • Maintain project documentation, beneficiary databases, reports, and other records accurately and timely.
  • Support Feedback and complaint handling, and Community Response Mechanism (CRM) activities.
  • Monitor child protection risks, child labor, school dropout, violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and take necessary follow-up actions.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and donor reports as required.
  • Ensure proper utilization of project funds and maintain financial records according to organizational procedures.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the project management.

Employment Status:

Full-time

Tenure of Services Contract:

3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.

    • Working Station: Ward 1,2,3 at Kashimpur in Gazipur City Corporation.

    • Salary and other benefits:

    • Gross: Taka 25000/ ( Twenty Five Thousand) per month

    • 2 days weekend

    • Bonus (One month equivalent salary)

    • After confirmation the job 5% salary deduction from Basic salary for depositing BTS Staff welfare fund.

    • Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence.
