  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience and training in Women Empowerment, Ecosystem management, Climate Change, livelihood opportunities, survey, and analysis. Experience on community led gender just work will be an added advantage.

  • Experience in field level project activities implementation.

  • Ability to work with different creed, culture, and ethnicity.

  • Knowledge of gender, Feminist principle, Ecosystem and the livelihoods approaches.

  • Additional Requirements

  • Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.

  • Knowledge in community development, ability to work with timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in report writing and speaking skills in Bangla.

  • Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Including Banglad & English Typing skills).



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children,youth and women, promoting climate justice. Breaking the Silence is implementing a project named ‘Blue Economy and Inclusive Development for Climate Justice with the support of ‘OXFAM in Bangladesh and Australian Aid’.The project is implementing in Dhaka, Satkhira , Khulna and Cox’s Bazar District. BTS is going to recruit the ‘Field Officer’ and desk will be at Shyamnagar in Satkhira District

Project Name : Blue Economy and Inclusive Development for Climate Justice.

Job Description / Responsibilities :

  • Support project manager and Project officer in achieving projects objectives.
  • Group formation and conduct regular meeting with different group at the community level.
  • Formation Community Based Organization (CBO)/Youth Organization and provide necessary support for their capacity building through coordination with Project Officer.
  • Organize and conduct community level awareness session, courtyeard meeting and training on Feminist Climate Justice Movement, Gender Justice and Climate Justice issues.
  • Implement day to day field level project activities.
  • Field level data collection on the requirement of project demand basis.
  • Communicate with different stakeholders at the local level from a justice and equity approach in conducting awareness-raising actions.
  • Support for sustaining partnerships with different stakeholders including youth, activists, scientists, civil society organizations, business sectors and the government of Bangladesh, especially at the grassroots.
  • Promoting women and youth leadership for climate justice and natural resource rights.
  • Prepare event report and support for project progress reporting as well as using information from various sources.
  • Ensure safeguarding and CFM as well as functioning at the community & Project level.
  • Ensuring safe and inclusive project management.
  • Support for knowledge development on blue economy and inclusive development.
  • Support all the other project management activities as relevant.

Others:

Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Experience in Motor Cycle/ Scuty driving with valid driving lisence.

Tenure of Services Contract:

3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Gross: Taka BDT. 50,300/=

    • 2 days weekend

    • Bonus (One month equivalent salary).

    • 5% salary deduction from Basic salary for depositing BTS Staff welfare fund.

    • Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
