Education:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Social Science/ Economics/ Legal Studies, or a closely related subject. Having a Master’s degree in the same discipline will be preferred.
Professional experience
8 years in relevant occupational experience, particularly in project implementation.
Experience in communication with authorities or representing a company or organization.
Experience with rightsholders, workers organizations or local communities.
Other knowledge, additional competences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, hands-on experience with digital data systems, and familiarity with various communication tools and modern IT systems
Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
Fluency in English & Bangla is essential (both oral and written)
Ability to work in an intercultural environment
Strong facilitation, coordination, reporting and documentation skills.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations. GIZ supports the German Government in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh since 1972 under bilateral agreement. Currently, we are working in the areas of renewable energy, adaptation to climate change, private sector development and technical education, biodiversity, as well as good governance and displacement.
GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of “Advisor- Business Development and Civil Society Integration” from candidates under ‘Our Rights, Our Voice (OROV) II’ project. The incumbent will work as a key intermediary and facilitator between GIZ, civil society organizations (CSOs), and worker representatives. S/he will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between high-level policy requirements and grassroots implementation, ensuring that the Stakeholder Platform becomes a self-sustaining entity that outlasts the project duration.

A. Responsibilities
Managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior.
Assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups.
Advise supervisor on all tasks when implementing GIZ rules and regulations.
Advise supervisor in the field of project planning, steering and monitoring.
Independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager.
Make decisions which have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit.
Assist supervisor to identify day to day problem and suggest appropriate solution
The position holder is responsible for the following tasks:
B. Tasks
Manages implementation of activities related to the preparation, steering and organizational development of a Stakeholder Platform consisting of workers representation and Civil Society Organization (CSOs).
Contributes to the development of Statement of Purposes (SOPs), agreements and rules of business for the internal functioning of that Stakeholders Platform
Provides expert knowledge on international regulations related to “meaningful stakeholder/rightsholder consultation” in Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence.
Steers the implementation of organizational development and business plan development towards sustainability of the Platform
Integrates “Just Transition” elements into the work – and represents these also towards other projects
Support in steering contracts with third-party organizations following GIZ rules and regulations
Documents the results and reporting inputs of activities towards the donor.
Connect with relevant stakeholders in the consolidation of an exit strategy that enables sustainable continuation of the platform.
