Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the project.
∎ Process and record all project-related transactions including expenses, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
∎ Prepare periodic financial statements, reports, and project budget vs. actual analysis.
∎ Monitor project budgets and alert management of any discrepancies or overages.
∎ Assist in the preparation of financial reports required by stakeholders, donors, or funding agencies.
∎ Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards.
∎ Support the audit process by providing required documentation and clarifications.
∎ Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
∎ Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
∎ Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
∎ Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in project-based or contractual environments.
∎ Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
∎ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Familiarity with donor-funded project accounting (optional but preferred).
∎ Job Summary:
∎ We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our project team on a contractual basis. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of the project, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial planning and reporting process throughout the project lifecycle.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
