Job Responsibilities:
∎ Role overview:
∎ Working from home and at project location - ?In this role, you will spend some time providing part-time remote support (e.g. from your home) to VSO projects or partners, and also?a set period working full-time in the project?location and/or VSO office.
∎ With the experience of working with young people and supporting projects at a national level, the National Volunteer-Youth Engagement will be responsible for providing adequate support to the effective implementation of the National Youth Engagement Network (NYEN) initiative in Bangladesh. The incumbent will also help the Project Implementation Lead in youth projects implementation, strengthen the youth engagement and leadership approach of VSO. The National Volunteer- Youth Engagement will also support the engagement with different stakeholders and assist VSO Bangladesh in positioning for the youth programme.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Skills:
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English both oral and written.
∎ Giving presentations to small and large groups in both Bangla and English Communication and facilitation
∎ Being committed to working with VSO and to VSO's values
∎ Ability to work in a cross-cultural context.
∎ Strong organizational and time-management skills
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Good level of IT skills, particularly email and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
∎ Good (financial) administration skills
∎ Experience:
∎ Cross culture working from local and international institutions. Involvement in running youth volunteer programmes.
∎ Experience of dealing with government officials.
∎ Experience of volunteering
∎ Desirable:
∎ Understanding of the current issues around youth engagement and active citizenship internationally and in South East Asia
