Educational Requirements:
∎ Radiographer / X-ray technologist.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing radiology services on Medical Doctor’s (MD) request, to both in-patients and out-patients.
∎ Reporting immediately to the Medical Activity Manager (MAM) any problem regarding the patient’s health status.
∎ Reporting to the medical team on the results of the x-ray performed using X-Ray Form, Patient Files, or any other platform specified by the line manager. Keeping an accurate records of all images produced and providing weekly summaries of all performed radiological examinations. Compiling weekly data on activity and contributing to general statistics of the project.
∎ Communicating with patients and staff in a clear and respectful manner and upholding patient confidentiality at all times.
∎ Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning, loss/robbery/damage of x-ray room material and/or devices. Undertaking regular Quality Assurance checks on equipment and radiographs.
∎ Upholding and ensuring staff/patients' compliance with all radiation safety regulations. Identifying vulnerable persons to radiation such as pregnant women, and protecting them accordingly. Ensuring radiation safety by using protective aprons and specific devices and clearly marking and respecting all radiation areas.
∎ Knowing and applying hygiene protocols. Carrying out cleaning and tidying up of the x-ray devices and ensuring proper waste disposal according to MSF safety standards.
∎ Doing regular inventories of stocks and ensuring all materials are stored according to each specific condition.
∎ Participating in team meetings and possible training. Collaborating in any emergency, if required by the supervisor or coordination.
∎ Ensure day-to-day care to our beneficiaries by performing on average 40 x-rays per day.
∎ The majority of the x-rays are for imaging the thorax, abdomen, limbs, spine, pelvis, or skull of which the majority are done within adult patients. Also, several thorax x-rays for neonates and pediatrics to clarify respiratory problems.
∎ To be able to make good quality x-rays for a proper diagnosis the patient should remove his/her clothes. As a female x-ray technician, the majority of patients you see will be female but will depend on the needs.
∎ Ensure proper patient positioning depending on the type of X-ray that is requested by the MD’s
∎ Maintaining confidentiality regarding all patient information, data collection, and sharing information only to certified staff (MD’s/MAM/Hospital Clinical Lead (HCL), etc).
∎ Daily data reporting and registration, give monthly input for MMR.
∎ This position requires working on weekends and evenings (No night shift).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 20 years
∎ Desirable: Two years of working experience, preferably in digital imaging systems.
∎ Previous work experience with NGOs is an asset Knowledge Knowledge.
∎ Essential: Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, and internet)
∎ Languages: Bangla is essential and English is an asset.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 52730 - 63276 (Monthly)
∎ Salary according to level Five (05) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 52730 Gross). 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employees and direct dependents. No relocation allowance shall be provided.
