Educational Requirements:
∎ Women candidates with at least a Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Women and Gender Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, Social Welfare, Anthropology, Food and Nutrition.

Job Context:
∎ Placement Duration: Under National Volunteer contract this role will start from as soon as possible to end on Tuesday, 31 December 2019. The duration may be extended or shortened according to project demand.
∎ National Volunteer Allowance:
∎ As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full-time basis. VSO will cover your travel, accommodation, medical support, insurance costs, along with a local living allowance which will be paid in local currency of BDT 20,800. This allowance meets reasonable food & living expenses in the country, but will not be enough to send money home.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Women Entrepreneurship Development Assistant (National Women Volunteer Role) will
∎ Conduct context mapping and develop women focused interventions based on local perspectives.
∎ Work closely with the youth volunteers, Bank Asia agents, and poor women's and men to start women focused interventions.
∎ Assist the women and poor men farmers to select appropriate enterprises.
∎ Assist to get quick market information for farmer's communities.
∎ Identify specific value chain actors with a specific level of engagement to develop a women-focused business model.
∎ Develop customize mechanism to maintain a strong link with traders and farmers group to run the business successfully.
∎ Develop a strategy for capacity building of women farmers on business and financial management.
∎ Link the women farmers with agri-entrepreneurs to sell their produce through farmers' center.
∎ Link the women farmers with Bank Asia to get a loan for crop production.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Clear knowledge of women in agriculture, value chain, and market system.
∎ Experience on profitable business model and planning for women.
∎ A clear understanding of women-focused interventions based on local context.
∎ In-depth knowledge of market information, a way of getting market information and link with women entrepreneurs and farmers center.
∎ Conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrable ability to think.
∎ Having development experience in South Asia context.
∎ Experienced on the livelihood of the poor communities.
∎ Desirable
∎ Sound on group marketing.
∎ Experience or knowledge of enterprise development approaches for poor rural communities and in an agricultural context would be an advantage.
∎ Experience in rural village development and community group Development.

Salary:
∎ VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which mean accommodation varies and will be basic.
