Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Project Engineer
∎ Nature of Job: Contractual
∎ Level: Mid Level Position
∎ Project’s duration: January to March 2022 (with possibilities of extension)
∎ Fixed Term Contract
∎ The position will be field based in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar district
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have good understanding of the SWM/WASH activities, and factors that determines the success of project.
∎ Knowledge on sources of SWs, types of SWs, composition and properties, collection of SWs methods, storage, transportation, disposal, and recycling/ materials recovery are must.
∎ Data-base management of project activities.
∎ Development of tools for quantitative and qualitative data collection and regularly collect the required data.
∎ Proficient user of MS office word, excel, and power point and have knowledge of statistical analysis using MS office excel/ SPSS.
∎ Documentation of the progress of project activities, outputs.
∎ Track the progress of project activities and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual report.
∎ Act as overall focal point for drain cleaning activities
∎ Monthly/ weekly work plan
∎ Monthly/ weekly reforestation updates/ report - Need assessment report and database of SWM activities
∎ Environmental and health impact assessment report
∎ Documentation of good practices, etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Work experience in Rohingya emergency response will be an advantage.
∎ Advance working knowledge on software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ODK, KOBO, etc.) and advance comprehension of spreadsheet
∎ Target oriented approach
∎ Good understanding of basic human rights.
∎ Ability to cope up with a stressful environment and mix with multicultural people and multi-tasks.
∎ Ability to foster collaborative, transparent and accountable relationships.
∎ Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work
