Experience:
Academic background in environmental science/business administration or any other discipline from the reputed university.
At least 10 years of experience in managing complex professional Programmes/Projects/Offices of National or international organizations with at least 6 years’ work experience in Rohingya Camp.
Extensive knowledge of management styles, project management, international cooperation with local partners, country/region of the Area Office/Country Office, techniques, reporting standards, presentation and communication with the different forum, donors and stakeholders following the standard languages.
Strong understanding and networking on the waste management sectors of Bangladesh especially donors understanding, INGOs, Government (RRRC, Municipality, BPGMEA, DoE and District Administration), private sectors, business association etc.
Practical work experiences on project cycle management, understanding on project log frame, monitoring and evaluation.
Project field of expertise for example circular economy, plastic waste management or other relevant subject on an academic level.
Social skills to agree on deliverables, ensure progress with staff and to support local partners.
Behavioral values and skills: accountability, respect, diversity & inclusion, sustainability, teambuilding, negotiation, conflict management, collaboration, flexibility, creativity.
Writing skills to clearly formulate program and project proposals, plans and reports.
Knowledge of the legal framework that governs Cordaid’s operations, as required by local and national government and by major donors (ILO, EU, UN, US, Bilateral Donors).

Program Plan:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and providing day-to-day operations of the project, providing technical support for skills development.
Translates the CIRCLE project results into SMART results in designated project areas and formulates an operational project plan, DIP within the project.
Remains within budget propositions and infrastructural possibilities as well as develop the long-term plan for future expansion of the CIRCLE program align with the Cordaid country strategy needs.
Responsible for transformation from CIRCLE project to CIRCLE program.
Project implementation:
Responsible to implement the project activities within the project time frame through collaboration and establish relationships with the different stakeholders such as City Corporation, RRRC, waste processing companies, department of the environmental.
local elite, waste collectors, for waste aggregators/bhangari, private sectors etc as well maintain proper coordination and communication with the country office.
Support acquisition & bid management:
Support acquisition and bid management team to develop the concept note and project proposal through providing the technical inputs and information’s.
Participates in writing and developing the proposal when needed.
Explore new funding opportunities, establish networking with the different relevant organizations, support to develop a partnership/ consortium for new business opportunities
Strategic program:
Support to develop and implement an effective Cordaid in Country strategy and integrated program and project approaches.
Contributes to the development of the Country Strategic Report and the Annual Country Report.
Program Management:
Manages the project with respect to risks, stakeholder’s management, issues and the project team.
Agrees with all contributors to project successful deliverables, with a large amount of intercultural sensitivity.
Understands partners and matches desired results and contextual factors.
Stimulates progress and makes necessary adjustments to realize the program within given boundary conditions, scope, time, budget and quality.
Financial management:
Manages the project budget ensuring expenditure based on the project timeframe are in line with what has planned for.
Reports regularly on budget realization and acts pro-actively to comply with the budget.
Donor Coordination and Communication:
Maintain day to day donor coordination and communication. Follow donor instructions and guidelines. Provide information’s to donors as per their needs
Field & Partner visits:
Monitors the achievements of projects within the field with partners, reviews field reports, analyzes field data and formulates conclusions, discussion points and recommendations for all stakeholders.
Supported partners:
Identifies the need for support with partner organizations and translates this into (customized) forms of support, considering (large differences in) the background and circumstances of (individuals in) partner organizations.
Network representation:
Identifies and establishes contacts with organizations and explores representation for potential areas for collaboration, considering the mission statement of Cordaid and the possibilities within existing programmes.
Project reports:
Collects information within the project and reports about the results, specifics, budget and expenditures and possible deviations following required reporting standards, providing solutions to minimize impact of deviations.
Prepare quality project reports regarding to the annual , half yearly and the project end reports.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL):
Leads the development of project learning identifying opportunities for learning, research and publications and implementation of MEL policy.
Facilitates the dissemination of promising practices and lessons learned.
Ensure integration of innovations and best practices.
Personnel management:
Leads and coaches the multidisciplinary, intercultural and inter-gender project team on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the management style of Cordaid, focused on productivity, the professional development of staff and employee satisfaction.
Coaches staff and leaves room for professional freedom to determine how to execute the work.
Builds on the strengths and talents of staff members to improve team performance.

Other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor to support program implementation, including for other project output.
