Experience:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science/Fisheries/ Animal Husbandry/Disaster Management or any other relevant subject.
At least 4 years of experience working with development organizations, with a strong preference for experience in livelihoods development activities of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Poultry-Livestock through Locally led adaptation in hard-to-reach areas of Bangladesh.
Proven experience in asset-based livelihoods development for vulnerable households.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate training and organize workshops at community, union, and upazila levels.
Prior experience in implementing climate-smart agriculture, aquaculture, poultry-livestock, natural resource management, and market development approaches.
Must have valid driving license and strong willingness to ride motorbike for field visit.
Effective team player with strong team management and coordination skills, especially with government and disaster-related stakeholders.
Experience working with local governance structures and government stakeholders.
Hands-on experience working in field-level NGO operations.
Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla (including typing), with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Orient the project activities to the relevant stakeholders:
Programme Officer – SC-2 & 3 will coordinate day-to-day engagement with waste enterprises, municipal actors, and community to achieve the output in SC 2 and 3.
S/he will focus on building capacity of the waste actors, mentoring and follow-up, track performance of aggregators and collectors/micro-enterprises, and facilitate coordination among the stakeholders.
Implement the project activities in time:
Assist the Project Coordinator in preparing project-based planning and ensuring timely project implementation.
Oversee the formation of clusters in project areas and build relationships with waste value chain actors.
Ensure the capacity building of waste collectors, aggregators, and associations through training and workshops, implement real-time tracking systems for plastic waste and PET bottle collection.
Supervise the timely collection of Polyethene packets, PET bottles/plastic and provide processing training for waste aggregators and Bhangari.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learnings and Reporting:
Conducting TNA, develop Modules, and Facilitate Training on Waste management system.
Organize events and Capacity Development events involving different relevant actors involving Government agencies.
Develop the detailed implementation plan (DIP)/ monthly activity plan in close collaboration with Project Coordinator.
Closely monitor the achievements against target and ensure quality work.
Provide feedback to achieve the target in time, Conduct performance evaluations of the project and provide feedback to the Project Coordinator and project teams.
Conduct participatory needs assessments and develop action plans based on findings.
Regularly monitor the progress of Polyethene packets, PET bottle collection and supply to companies.
Prepare quarterly, interim, and final project assessment reports, and other documentation as required.
Ensure timely reporting of field activities and maintain effective communication with donors regarding project progress and challenges.
Communication, Coordination and linkage:
Maintain effective communication with donors regarding project progress and challenges.
Develop and disseminate communication materials (advertisements, posters/stickers, audio-visuals, etc.) through print and electronic media, including social media.
Develop ToR, PR, and engage with other documentation, maintain communication with vendors for others reporting.
Support the arrangement of learning dissemination workshops to share project results as a lobby and advocacy initiative to sensitize stakeholders, specifically the city corporation.
Conduct campaigns to raise mass awareness about proper plastic waste disposal.
Personnel /Staff Management:
Supervise Community Volunteers and support their capacity building through training, orientation, coaching, and meetings.
Identify and address challenges faced by community mobilizers and develop solutions to overcome obstacles and improve performance.
Supervise the community mobilizers to implement the activities in time.
Leads and coaches the multidisciplinary, intercultural and inter-gender project team on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the management style of Cordaid.
Focused on productivity, the professional development of staff and employee satisfaction.
Coaches staff and leaves room for professional freedom to determine how to execute the work.
Builds on the strengths and talents of staff members to improve team performance.
Sub-office management:
Coordinates with different projects in the sub-office including security management and the management of support staff.
Oversee the management of the sub-office and ensure it operates efficiently.
