Job Responsibilities:
∎ Climate risk insurance requires an efficient workforce as a growing sector.
∎ The partnership between WFP and Oxfam is a wonderful opportunity for hands-on training for young professionals to know different aspects of climate finance especially climate risk insurance.
∎ Having said that, the CRI project wants to include two early-career professionals (preferably women) to closely work with and learn from this project.
∎ The young professionals exchange their learnings with other young professionals and academia based on their experience working with Oxfam and WFP.
∎ It is expected that this opportunity will create interest among prospective young professionals to pursue a career in the climate risk insurance sector.
∎ Support to Oxfam's CRI project by involving field-level data collection, local-level campaigning and documentation for creating a conducive environment for poverty reduction and climate justice.
∎ Participate in local-level meetings and national level dialogues under the CRI project.
∎ Promote new thinking and approaches related to climate risk insurance for agro-products and vulnerable farmers.
∎ Submit a working paper reflecting their learnings on the feasibility of climate risk insurance mechanism and its viability of safeguarding farmers and their crops from climate-induced extreme weather events.

∎ Good command of Bangla and English languages (speaking and writing).
∎ Self-motivation to work on Climate Risk Insurance.
∎ Willing to travel in remote char areas especially project areas.
∎ Pro-active in taking new challenges & thrust to learn

∎ Experience in climate risk issues, partnership management both programmatic and financial, programme development and implementation
∎ Demonstrated ability to identify and implement opportunities for innovation
∎ Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
∎ Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work.
∎ Commitment to undertake Oxfam's safeguarding training and adherence of relevant policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible
Salary:
∎ We will provide an inspirational remuneration for food and local conveyance purpose (BDT. 1000/= for each working day)
