Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Position Overview:
∎ We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team in a leading role to ensure the health, nutrition, and welfare of pets through our premium-quality pet food products. The ideal candidate will contribute their expertise in animal health and nutrition to develop and improve formulas, oversee quality assurance, and provide scientific insights for product development.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Nutrition and Product Development:
∎ Analyze and evaluate raw materials for nutritional value, safety, and compliance with standards. Ensure the inclusion of essential vitamins, minerals, and supplements for pet health.
∎ Quality Assurance:
∎ Oversee production processes to ensure that pet food products meet quality and safety standards. Monitor ingredient sourcing and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and certifications. Develop and implement protocols for product testing and quality control.
∎ Research and Insights:
∎ Stay updated on veterinary science, nutrition trends, and new research in pet food. Provide insights into emerging health concerns and pet dietary needs. Liaise with external researchers, universities, or labs for specialized studies.
∎ Customer Support and Education:
∎ Respond to customer inquiries regarding pet health and product recommendations. Develop educational materials for pet owners on nutrition and general care. Host workshops or webinars for pet owners or distributors.
∎ Regulatory Compliance:
∎ Ensure that all products meet local and international pet food safety standards and regulations. Keep records and documentation up to date for audits and inspections.
∎ Animal Welfare Advocacy:
∎ Promote best practices in animal care and nutrition. Support ethical initiatives and community outreach programs for animal health and welfare.
