We are seeking a dynamic, result oriented, and experienced Manager – Nursery Operations to lead our commercial nursery production and landscaping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for nursery production planning, operational excellence, business development, project implementation, and team leadership to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all nursery production operations, maximizing land utilization, productivity, and plant species diversity.
Develop annual and seasonal production plans to ensure timely availability of quality planting materials.
Oversee propagation, cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease management, harvesting, and inventory control.
Plan, design, and supervise landscaping and plantation projects for government, corporate, institutional, and private clients.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate clients, NGOs, government agencies, and institutions to expand nursery business and sales.
Develop and implement operational efficiency strategies to minimize production costs, reduce input wastage, and improve productivity.
Manage nursery budgets, procurement, resource allocation, and cost control to achieve financial targets.
Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and ensure timely completion within budget.
Coordinate field activities with local authorities, development partners, consultants, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Monitor nursery performance through KPIs and prepare operational reports for management.
Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate nursery staff while maintaining a high-performance work culture.
Identify new business opportunities in nursery production, landscaping, plantation, and horticultural services.
