The financial products are credit for income-generating activities and short/long term savings. Other products provided by our organization are micro insurance for life, health related programs, income-generating activities, disaster management support, technology transfer, value chains development, solar home system for power, solar mini-grid, etc.
∎ Brief on the Project
∎ PKSF has started implementing an innovative project titled "Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP)" financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Under this RMTP project IDF jointly with PKSF is implementing a value chain sub-project in the area of High Value Fruits & Crops Expansion and Marketing for three years. The implementation areas of the project include Matiranga, Khagrachari; Kaptai, Rangamati; and Bandarban Shadar district. The project will work to increase the income, ensure food security and improve family nutrition for marginal and small farmers /entrepreneurs and sub-sector related backward and forward market entrepreneurs. The sub-project will work on value addition at various stages of development of high value fruits/crops and agricultural products, vis-à-vis expansion of financial services for development of enterprises and strengthening of institutional structure. Efficient farming technology and strong market network will help the existing enterprises expand to the next step of economic development. It is hoped that effective Implementation of the sub-project will increase the income by 30 percent of 70 percent entrepreneurs/project beneficiaries. Further 30 percent project beneficiaries will be able to add nutritious food to their regular food list.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The duties and responsibilities of the Value Chain Facilitator (Project Manager) are as follows:
∎ Making available of quality products and services at the farm level through MoUs with various companies /actors in the backward and forward markets and playing an effective role in increasing sales of manufactured goods at the enterprise/beneficiary level.
∎ Tracking the progress of each intervention and formulating exit strategies. Applying various tools to ensure market dynamics towards further strengthening the private sector through problem solving.
∎ Reviewing national and regional level public and private sector policies for the development of high value fruits/crops. Implementing existing policies and advocating with government and non-government organizations, companies and associations for development of business friendly policies as required.
∎ Developing area and staff based work plan and taking approval of the plan from PKSF each year. Playing effective role in project input, process and output monitoring.
∎ Spending at least 50% of the total work time at the field and ensuring efficient utilization of project manpower and office management. Reviewing project contracts, guidelines, budget and procurement policies, logical frameworks, market system changes, vision for change and exit strategy provided by PKSF and striving to achieve project objectives accordingly.
∎ Assisting the Finance, Admin and Procurement Officer in financial management, advance coordination and replenishment.
∎ Providing assistance to the concerned officers in creating the profile of the entrepreneurs, assisting the staff in achieving the goals and objectives of the project by regularly reviewing the progress of the entrepreneurs.
∎ Selection of companies that provide certification on Global GAP and BGAP/HACCP. With the help of the selected companies identifying master trainers, developing training modules, and arranging training accordingly.
∎ Collaborating with the staff for developing business model and marketing plan for the entrepreneurs. Organizing learning and sharing sessions among project staff, and overall taking part in staff mentoring and evaluation.
∎ Playing an effective role in producing international standard publications especially in the areas of project baseline /sub-sector studies, midterm reviews, end-line surveys, case studies, best practices, etc.
∎ Communicating with PKSF, project focal person and senior management to and fro. Further taking action plan from the project team to achieve the project results by ensuring smooth implementation.
∎ In addition, the incumbent will have to perform any other activities related to the project provided by the project focal person/senior management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Should have 5 years experience in agricultural development project in national/international organisation. At least 2 years of work experience is required in value chain development project. Prior work experience as a project manager will get preference.
∎ Competent in driving motorcycle and have a valid driving license along with own motorcycle.
∎ Professional and clear written and oral communication skills both in English & Bangla.
∎ Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
∎ Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
∎ Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
∎ Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas for extended period of time
