Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Mahbub & Company, a top-tier, full-service law firm based in Dhaka is looking for Associate to work in its Dhanmondi Chamber.
∎ The desired Associate shall be primarily responsible for dealing with corporate matters, including but not limited to:
∎ * Providing specialist legal advice (Legal Opinion) on various legal issues on labour law, corporate law, criminal law, civil law, company law, foreign exchange policies, regulatory matters, etc.
∎ * Reviewing and drafting various legal and finance documents such as legal notices, deeds, agreements, policies, undertakings, pari passu security sharing agreements, mortgages, hypothecation, share purchase agreements, etc.
∎ * Conducting meetings face to face as well as virtually with corporate, foreign and private clients, etc.
∎
∎ The candidates must meet the following-
∎ Experience Requirements:
∎ * At least 5-6 years of working experience in law firms/chambers or as in-house counsel in MNC/Bank/FI.
∎ (Candidates who do not meet this requirement shall be automatically disqualified and are hence discouraged from applying)
∎ * Membership with the Bangladesh Bar Council (preferred)

∎ Educational Requirements:
∎ * Bar-at-Law and/or LL.M (essential)
∎
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ * Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Bengali
∎ * Computer literacy and expertise in Microsoft Office and other digital platform/tools
∎ * Excellent analytical ability and critical thinking
∎
∎ Workdays
∎ * Saturday (2pm-8pm)
