Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree; preferably in BBA (Major in Business Management), Development Studies or relevant field. 

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the field of Post-Training wage employment for the youths, engage with the employers, sector experts and other private sector stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Context:

Context:
The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate successful wage employment of trainees at different formal and informal workplaces, implementation of employer engagement events, job fairs and internship placements for achieving the job placement target of the project.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support trainee identification and selection using standardized tools.

  • Assist in local market scanning to identify in-demand trades and validate them with stakeholders.

  • Identify non-traditional trades suitable for female trainees with employment opportunities.

  • Conduct regular employer surveys to identify job opportunities and future skill demands; maintain an updated employer database.

  • Build and maintain relationships with employers through regular engagement.

  • Facilitate MoU signing with employers for internship placements.

  • Match trainee profiles with employer requirements and support placement or referrals.

  • Organize job fairs, expos, and entrepreneurship events at district and national levels.

  • Conduct post-placement satisfaction surveys and prepare reports to improve training and placement outcomes.

  • Identify local mentors to support youth entrepreneurs and interns.

  • Assist in preparing profiles of potential youth for DYD seed financing.

 

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
