Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)

Experience:

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

• Master`s in any discipline.

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

• Age 30 to 50 years

• Experience: At least 5 years. The applicants should have relevant experience in the NGO/INGOs

Detail competencies:

• Should have skills and competencies in livelihood, disaster management and climate change adaptation

• Proven experiences on program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management and capable of project management independently

• Skilled in communication and maintaining liaison with local elected bodies, government authorities and people of marginalized communities

• The candidate should have good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender, and Anti-Sexual Harassment) issues, social protection, complaint response and feedback mechanisms

• Staff management, verbal and written communication skills in Bengali and English

• Clear concepts on monitoring & evaluation

• Experience of facilitating access to social protection and application of RTI

• The applicant should have computer skills on MS-word, MS-excel, PowerPoint and email communication

• Experience in advocacy and networking with regional and national level Institutes, platform and like-minded organizations

• Should have valid Motor bike driving license

• Willing to stay at upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-profit making community development organization situated in the northern Bangladesh. The organization is registered with Social Welfare Department and NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh government. Since 1972, the organization has been serving the poor and extreme poor with special focus on the char (River Island) and attached char inhabitants (men, women, youth, children and adolescents) in different areas through several program initiatives. At present, MJSKS has been working in Kurigram, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat district. MJSKS has been implementing various types of projects in the field of livelihood development, human rights, women empowerment, youth employability and engagement, adolescent development, gender equality, quality education for children, water and sanitation, health, hygiene & nutrition, Humanitarian Assistance in disaster and climate change adaptation. Sustainable development for the poorest through ensuring peoples participation is the key approach of its work.

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) in collaboration with NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice has been implementing AGROJATRA Project that aims to Agriculture and Livelihoods, Health Hygiene and Nutrition, Women Empowerment, Governance, Advocacy for protecting rights and ensuring government services, Disaster risk reduction & Climate Change adaptation.

MJSKS is looking for a qualified Unit Manager (UM) for the said project

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance

Job location: Aditmari / Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila under Lalmonirhat District.

Job responsibility:

• Ensure unit-level planning and implementation of the project activities.

• Responsible for coordination of all program activities at upazila level, coordination and establishment of all civil society organizations (CSOs); regular visits to CSOs and secondary schools

• Coordination and facilitation of training activities for the target group

• Coordination of climate-resilient livelihood opportunities

• Communication and liaison with government agencies and service providers

• Advocacy for protecting rights and ensuring government services for marginalized communities

• Capacity building of team members in improving their conceptual understanding

• Preparation of narrative and formative reports

• Management and monitoring of program staff and their activities

• Administrative and transparent financial management

• Factual periodic reporting for the assigned areas.

• Salary : Monthly gross salary Tk. 45000/- possibility of yearly salary increment maximum 10% with 1 festival bonus and 1 gratuity equivalent to 1month gross salary each
