Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
Familiarity with transport laws, licensing, and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with fleet management software is an added advantage.
Responsibilities & Context:
Manage and oversee all aspects of company transport operations, including vehicles and drivers.
Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensure all vehicles are registered, insured, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Monitor fuel consumption, optimize routes, and control overall transport costs.
Coordinate repairs, servicing, and vehicle replacements as required.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance history, and expenses.
Supervise drivers and support staff, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Prepare transport-related reports for management and suggest cost-saving strategies.
