Job Context:
∎ Sheva Nari O Shishu Kallyan Kendra is a national NGO which works for the empowerment of women and other marginalized groups in Bangladesh. Sheva is implementing the Health Access and Linkage Opportunities for Workers Plus, HALOW+ Project in partnership with CARE Bangladesh to support and build upon access to health services and linkage opportunities of Readymade Garments (RMG) workers and their families for a period of 3 years (November 2017 to August 2020) in 15 RMG factories in Gazipur district areas.
∎ Sheva Nari O Shishu Kallyan Kendra invites application for the post of "Training and Facilitation Officers"
∎ Job Duration : up to 31st August, 2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Training and Facilitation Officers will work extensively on health and social outcomes for RMG workers in factory level. S/he will be mainly responsible to promote healthy behavior to garments workers through increasing knowledge and practice on health and nutrition in selected RMG factories.
∎ S/he has to be part of developing training module and innovative IEC materials on health, nutrition, hygiene and leadership skills.
∎ S/he has to organized and facilitate ToT for factory management and training for Health Champion in factory level.
∎ S/he has to facilitate and assist project management for arrangement of trainings/workshops for factory and other relevant service providers as per project approach and implementation plan.
∎ S/he will provide close support to Health Champions to conduct quality and participatory educational and awerness session with target number of workers and family members. S/he will facilitate consistent availability of logistic and materials for practice and learning by workers with support from factory management.
∎ S/he also responsible for day to day monitoring of the project activities, maintain appropriate and purposeful liaison with factory management, factory focal person, local service providers for referral linkage activities.
∎ The position will be also responsible to build capacity and provide continuous support to factory committees for enhancing health outcomes at factory level.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven track record of work in the community people specially with marginalized groups particularly women.
∎ Strong facilitation background including participatory training and community mobilization.
∎ Ability to team building and can perform well under pressure.
∎ Ability to coordinate with counterparts and other stake holders.
∎ Good communication skill in both verbal and written in Bangla and English is preferable.
Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
