Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years Diploma in Physiotherapy with 2 to 3 years experience in the same position

Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ Since November 2017, CDD in partnership with CBM is implementing "Inclusive Humanitarian Response for Rohingya Crisis: Access to Rehabilitation and Disability Mainstreaming` project in Ukhia, Cox`s Bazar. As per operational strategy 2020-22, the current key activities of the response consist of (1) the provision of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services, (2) running of a Therapy Corner to provide rehabilitation and other related services for Children with severe impairments, and (3) technical support to mainstream organizations, advocacy with sectors to include persons with disabilities in the humanitarian action. CDD Office is now accepting applications for Therapy Assistant based in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Physiotherapists, Speech & Language therapists and Occupational Therapists in screening and assessment of Rohingya people and Host Community with Therapeutic intervention.
∎ Assist in the treatment plan for follow up Therapeutic services
∎ Provide follow up Therapy session under the supervision of Therapists in Main Camp, Mobile camp or client's home (in HBR).
∎ Assist in client referral to other professionals for rehabilitation and other required services.
∎ Assist in the documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
∎ Assist in maintaining therapy equipment.
∎ Guide community mobilizers in conducting awareness sessions.
∎ Conduct accessibility works as per instructed by the Rehabilitation officer.
∎ Helps in producing weekly and monthly activity reports and case studies

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 45 years
∎ Ability to take initiative and generate ideas for complex situations.
∎ Diplomacy skills and ability to understand and handle multiple perspectives.
∎ Skills in inclusive facilitation and communication.
∎ Cross-cultural communication skills.
∎ Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and handle stress with limited supervision.
∎ Willingness to learn and take on a progressive portfolio of responsibilities.
∎ Excellent oral and written English and Bangla and capacity to produce learning documents and products.
∎ Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet package).
∎ Experience in the inclusion of at-risk groups ideally in a humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla (speaking and written).
∎ Experience in capacity building and delivering trainings, preferably in the field of age and /or disability
∎ Experience in humanitarian context/ Cox's Bazar context and preferably in an advocacy and/or technical support position
∎ Knowledge/understanding of humanitarian architecture, disability inclusion standards and guidelines, and Universal Design principles
∎ Periodic Field Visit in the Rohingya Camp and Host Community Project Locations.
∎ Need-based work during weekends, when essential.
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 37500 (Monthly)
