Job Summary:
The Ultrasonography Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations as per physician instructions, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and accurate reporting support. The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to medical standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ultrasound Examination:

   • Perform various ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts examinations.

   • Ensure accurate image capturing for proper diagnosis.

2. Patient Preparation & Care:

   • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly.

   • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during examinations.

   • Maintain a professional and empathetic approach with patients.

3. Equipment Handling:

   • Operate ultrasound machines efficiently and safely.

   • Perform routine maintenance checks and report any technical issues.

   • Ensure proper calibration and cleanliness of equipment.

4. Image Analysis & Documentation:

   • Review and select the best images for reporting.

   • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data.

   • Assist radiologists/physicians in interpretation when required.

5. Compliance & Safety:

   • Follow all clinical protocols, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines.

   • Maintain infection control procedures at all times.

   • Ensure compliance with hospital/diagnostic center policies.

6. Coordination:

   • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

   • Coordinate scheduling and patient flow efficiently.

7. Confidentiality:

   • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and reports.

8. Emergency Handling:

   • Respond appropriately to emergency situations during procedures.

   • Provide basic patient support until further medical assistance arrives.
