Education:
MBBS degree from a recognized medical college/university.
Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).
Experience in paediatric surgery, paediatrics, general surgery, emergency care, or hospital practice will be an advantage.
Sound knowledge of clinical medicine, patient assessment, and basic surgical care.
Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and under clinical pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients, guardians, colleagues, and hospital staff.·
Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare medical documentation.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by hospital duty rosters.
Professional, compassionate, disciplined, responsible, and patient-focused attitude.
Candidates with relevant training or practical exposure in paediatric surgery will be preferred.
Provide medical assessment, clinical care, and follow-up services to paediatric patients under the supervision of the concerned consultants.
Assist consultants and the surgical team in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of paediatric surgical cases.
Conduct patient history-taking, physical examinations, and routine clinical assessments.
Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, including monitoring vital signs and clinical progress.
Attend to inpatients, outpatients, emergency cases, and ward-related clinical responsibilities as assigned.
Prepare and maintain accurate patient case sheets, clinical notes, treatment records, discharge summaries, and other medical documentation.
Monitor patients for changes in clinical condition and promptly report significant findings to the concerned consultant or authority.
Assist in clinical procedures, dressings, minor procedures, and other duties within the scope of competence and institutional policy.
Coordinate with nursing staff, diagnostic services, laboratory, pharmacy, and other hospital departments to ensure continuity of patient care.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection prevention and control measures, patient safety standards, and professional ethics.
Provide appropriate communication and guidance to patients’ parents or guardians regarding treatment, investigations, and follow-up, as directed by the consultant.
Participate in departmental meetings, clinical discussions, training, and quality-improvement activities.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold professional conduct at all times.
Perform any other clinical or departmental responsibilities assigned by the competent authority.
