Job Summary:
The ENT Technologist (Ear, Nose, and Throat) is responsible for assisting ENT specialists in diagnostic and minor therapeutic procedures, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring quality patient care. The role requires technical expertise, patient management skills, and adherence to clinical and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Assistance:

   • Assist ENT specialists during examinations and minor procedures.

   • Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.

   • Support procedures such as ear cleaning, nasal endoscopy, throat examination, and minor surgical assistance.

2. Diagnostic Testing:

   • Perform basic ENT diagnostic tests such as audiometry, tympanometry, and hearing assessments.

   • Assist in vestibular and balance testing when required.

   • Ensure accurate data collection for physician evaluation.

3. Patient Preparation & Care:

   • Prepare patients for ENT procedures by explaining the process.

   • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.

   • Provide assistance before, during, and after examinations.

4. Equipment Handling:

   • Operate and maintain ENT diagnostic equipment and instruments.

   • Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of equipment.

   • Report any technical issues or malfunctions.

5. Infection Control & Safety:

   • Follow strict infection control and hygiene protocols.

   • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

   • Adhere to hospital policies and international healthcare standards.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate patient records, test results, and procedure documentation.

   • Assist physicians in preparing reports when required.

7. Coordination:

   • Work closely with ENT doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

   • Manage patient scheduling and workflow efficiently.

8. Emergency Support:

   • Assist in handling emergency ENT cases when required.

   • Provide basic life support support if necessary.

9. Confidentiality:

   • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times.
