Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Medical allied science, Public Health, Environmental Science, Health Care Management, Hospital management, Civil or public health Engineering, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in healthcare facility management, focusing on sterilization, linen management, waste management, and WASH programs.
Proven experience in managing Operation and maintenance plans projects related to WASH facilities and services.
Experience in outbreak responses is preferred.
Rohingya language will be an advantage.
Experience in water service provision, water quality treatment, and monitoring.
Experience in sanitation and environmental sanitation.
Experience in solid waste management.
Experience in field hospital hygiene promotion.
Experience in Hygiene Promotion programming.
Organization, coordination and planning skills.
Good capacity in infection preventions and control.

The Opportunity
The Technical Specialist- IPC and WASH will work in a 67-bed hospital for Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals, and Host communities in Teknaf. The incumbent will ensure the quality and oversee the activities related to sterilization processes; linen management, healthcare solid, infectious and hazardous waste management, and the treatment of wastewater used in hospital operations. This role ensures compliance with health regulations and safety standards and protocols and universal hygiene standards to provide a safe environment and high-quality health care while managing the operation and maintenance of water, hygiene and sanitation devices and facilities in collaboration with the WASH program Lead. The role holder will be responsible for overall IPC management of the hospital. The staff will coordinate with different internal and external stakeholders and the health sector for day-to-day operations. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly. The staff will oversee training and mentoring technical hospital staff involved in maintaining IPC standards in the hospital: waste collectors and operators at the SWM facility, staff in charge of sterilization, chlorinators, hospital cleaners, WASH technicians.
