∎ The Opportunity
∎ As the Technical Specialist for Child Participation within the Shishuder Jonno Program, this role is essential in shaping and guiding child participation and child rights governance initiatives, aligning with Save the Children’s child participation and child rights governance thematic strategy. This position is crucial in facilitating the implementation of child-led activities, engagement of children, and ensuring children’s voices are actively included in governance processes. Operating under the supervision of the Manager-Child Protection and in collaboration with the Child Rights Governance sector, the Technical Specialist will provide expert support and oversight, ensuring the integration of child participation across the Shishuder Jonno program and the Save the Children’s Bangladesh Country Office for mainstreaming child participation. This role is instrumental in promoting child-led advocacy, enhancing child-friendly governance, and fostering the development of children as agents of change within their communities and beyond. The incumbent will uphold the technical standards in child rights governance interventions and assist the Manager-Child Protection with planning, monitoring, and implementation at the field level activities for advancing the program's objectives towards child empowerment and participation.
