Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Specialist (TS) - Accountability will work with Manager, Accountability to put the children and communities at the centre of our work through supporting the Country Office (CO) to integrate child-friendly, gender-sensitive, inclusive, accessible, and appropriate accountability systems and child participation in all development context. This position will primarily be responsible to run and maintain the online Feedback Response Mechanism (FRM) portal of SCI Bangladesh (both development and humanitarian portfolio) and support child participation. The position holder will also stimulate and encourage wider understanding in accountability practices to include FRM as well as quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The post holder will be expected to support to build capacity of Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), technical and programme staff as well as partner staff. With the support of the sector MEAL staff, s/he will provide monthly in-depth analysis of FRM to inform adaptation in programme implementation, promote the culture of feedback loop close and support ensuring feedback to influence future project design.
∎ This role is intended to support the team on our global strategic initiatives (including Shifting the Power) as well as our commitment to the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) and the Grand Bargain Participation Revolution (GBPR). SCI is organisationally committed to adhering to the CHS , predominantly CHS 4 and 5 (accountability related) to be applied in both humanitarian and development settings.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience preferably in Qualitative Research, MEAL/Accountability, and/or Programme.
∎ Excellent knowledge of qualitative data analysis and writing clear and well-argued reports.
∎ Experience in setting up accountability systems, especially feedback and reporting mechanisms.
∎ Proven ability in using, analyzing, generating and maintaining database to influence programmatic change.
∎ Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven record of team playing ability and collaborations.
∎ Knowledge of the field of communication and community engagement, including key sector commitments such as the CHS and GBPR .
∎ Experience in safe, meaningful, and ethical child participation.
∎ Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach/mentor staff.
∎ Commitment to the aims and principles of SCI . In particular, a good understanding of the SSCI mandate and child rights and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support.
