Purpose:

This Position will be responsible for direct implementation, supervision, monitoring and quality ensuring of materials and construction and any other task assigned by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise construction and installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, work plans, contractual requirements and applicable engineering standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections and technical quality checks and ensure that construction activities are implemented according to approved designs and required workmanship standards.

• Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and identify technical issues, delays, design changes and resource constraints that may affect project delivery.

• Check the construction materials quality and communicate to your supervisor for any irrelevant issues.

• Check the work done by the contractors and recommend any modifications.

• Check the status of the facilities on daily basis and make detail fixing plan.

• Initiate the PRs for any works and ensure the price are relevant to the market.

• Provide technical inputs to procurement processes, including preparation and review of technical specifications, BOQs, tender documents, evaluation criteria and technical evaluation of bids.

• Prepare the daily report and communicate to your supervisor and ensure the information are reached to Cox bazar team.

• Communicate to the camp coordinator for any work need to be communicated to CiC or sector partners.

• Keep the record of the project document and any other related documents and ensure reached.

• Involved in site selection for facilities construction

• Coordinate with other stakeholders on the ground for smooth, efficient and effective implementation of the activities.

• Communicate the branch level support staff and ensure the smooth communication for any related issue.

• Work with other partners staff for the coordination maters.

• Submit regular reports related to the project’s WASH infrastructure to the Deputy Project Manager and Project Engineer, WASH.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
