Responsibilities:
The Field Facilitator is responsible for implementing activities at the field level as per the project plan.
S/he is responsible for mobilizing grassroots people, conducting community situation analysis and sessions, organizing a mass campaign, conducting courtyard meetings, and building the capacity of the beneficiary.
The Field Facilitator is responsible for organizing training for the community, implementing project activities including adequate support to the target communities; organizing meetings, communicating with target households/communities; assisting in preparing the budget; assisting in organizing workshops, seminars, meetings for program and target beneficiaries and others, observance of days;
The Field Facilitator will be responsible for infrastructure development works in consultation with the HO-assigned Engineer and in coordination with the Project Manager.
Assist the Project Officer to develop reports, data, and other relevant information as and when required;
Working for capacity building of target households, community leaders, LGIs, etc. on mobilization, knowledge development and information dissemination;
Submit monthly work plan, reports and monitoring reports;
Undertake other duties as per requirements of the project
Activities:
S/he will be responsible for implementing the field activities as assigned by the project.
Assistance to the Project Manager for project documentation and record-keeping.
Formation of community groups and conduction of regular community-level meetings.
Work closely with the coastal community and enhance their capacity on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation
S/he will find opportunities to build a resilient community by assessing needs, using local resources, and establishing connections with Local administration.
Organizing community-level training, meetings, orientation with UP leaders, volunteers, stakeholders, and local administration.
To ensure Water and sanitation support to the selected communities.
To monitor and supervise structural development activities like water plant construction and resilient house construction.
To ensure shelter assistance by providing capacity-building training and ensuring strengthening of houses by regular monitoring
To ensure timely distribution of Rescue materials, First aid kits, Shelter kits, Tube-well tools, improved stoves, saplings, etc.
To assist in anticipatory actions works cyclone readiness, and Early action.
To assist community-led adaptation activities like sea weed culture.
To collect field data and relevant information through field visits and meetings with stakeholders.
To prepare case studies for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Maintaining liaison with CPP volunteers, local elites, and other GO, NGOs.
Assistance to group/committee in various Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate change issues where it is applicable.
Organize distribution of DRR tools, livelihood assets, or any other materials if necessary and regular follow-up the utilization of distributed tools, planted trees, and livelihood assets.
To organize relief distribution and prior activities like assessment of affected families, etc. after a cyclone or any disaster occurs.
Work jointly with CPP volunteers during rescue operations and early warning dissemination while the cyclone signal is announced.
To assist the Project Manager in maintaining financial records.
The other tasks will be accomplished subject to project needs and supervisor’s requirements.
Graduate in any discipline (Preferably Master’s degree)
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Computer skills with typing skills in Bangla and English will give an extra advantage.
Good language skill in Bangla
