Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct Shelter and Site Improvement assessment through visit and interview of individual household, community consultation along with Mahji by using prescribed format in collaboration with Site Management Sector (SMS), CiC officials and others stakeholder.
∎ Ensure distribution of coupon to the selected HHs for receiving Shelter materials from the distribution centre/point.
∎ Ensure requisition for required materials of shelter and site improvement as well as ensure the availability of materials stock at distribution centre/point.
∎ Ensure distribution shelter materials and necessary accessories to the selected beneficiaries using master roll and KoBo.
∎ Ensure technical support and assistance to the beneficiaries to build their shelter by themselves with maintaining shelter performance standard (minimum and desired)..
∎ Prepare IOU and make payment to labors on time regularly.
∎ Provide technical support and guidance to the Field Assistance-Shelter and beneficiaries for shelter building/construction, maintenance and site improvement interventions.
∎ Provide technical support & assistance in line with Shelter sector and organization standard as well as considering the need of the women, child, adolescent and person with disability and EVI families
∎ Ensure the quantity and quality of Shelter and Site Improvement activities as per organization and Shelter Sector.
∎ Ensure the safety of colleagues, volunteers and beneficiaries from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ This position is responsible to plan, manage, implement, supervise and monitor Shelter activities and Site Improvement activities of BRAC Shelter project under HCMP including supportive supervision of Field Assistant, Shelter in his/her assigned working areas expending times/days to 90 % in fields and 10% in official works. He /She will be reportable to the Camp Focal Shelter for execution of his/her duties in collaboration with respective Cluster Focal-technical support, Project Manager, Shelter & Site Improvement.
