Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. SKUS has since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children, adolescents, women, and men. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching and learning, and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children`s education. Based on children`s and adolescents` rights, SKUS has established quality learning and protection Centre with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ SKUS has an agreement with Plan International for the project of Education Cannot Wait`s Multi Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) for the Rohingya and host community at Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila in Cox`s Bazar District.
∎ SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of a few Technical Officer for the project as mentioned above in Plan International Consortium, supported by ECW.
∎ Reportable to: Project Coordinator, ECW project, PI-SKUS Consortium.
∎ Duration of contract: Up to 30 November 2024. (Contingent to Donor Extension and Govt. Approval)
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Employment Status: Contractual

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support and supervise to the facilitator, SO, CEM and host community mentor to continue caregiver led education;
∎ Support education needs assessment as needed in intervention target areas;
∎ Home visit on regular basis to supervise and monitor ECCD and learning related activities;
∎ Conduct training/refresher/workshop in a small group;
∎ Track the progress of education activities and provide a regular update to the supervisor;
∎ Distributed education and other materials on time;
∎ Prepare event report and documentation; Participate in many kinds of meetings, sessions and workshops;
∎ Regular Communication with Majhi, Sub Majhi, CiC, Parents & others Actors,
∎ Provide Technical Support SBK Facilitators & HCM,
∎ Assist to Local materials development, Case study & success story provide to supervisor,
∎ Monthly Report provide like as Distance monitoring Report, Caregiver led education report, & ONA report etc,
∎ Assist to center decoration & Support monthly TLC, CMC meeting and parenting sessions;
∎ Motivation and awareness session feedback mechanism & safeguarding
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience : At least 3 years' experience in the field of education program with NGO
∎ Practical working experience at Rohingya Camp in the field of education
∎ Experience in education, protection / social work with children
∎ Having a valid motorcycle driving license
∎ Knowledge: In depth knowledge on Education and child protection
∎ Must have knowledge of the INEE minimum standards.
∎ Understanding the dynamic of child education and curriculum in Rohingya context
∎ Skills: Oral and written communication skill both in Bangla and English, Rohingya and/or Chittagong local language
∎ Should have good computer technical skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
∎ Experience in curriculum/module development and training delivery is desirable.
∎ Interpersonal communication and public speaking skills
∎ Abilities : Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
∎ Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team
∎ Problem solving skills and dealing with the client
∎ Ability to adopt to changes

∎ Working Condition:
∎ Technical Officer will work under direct supervision of Project Coordinator
∎ Technical Officer is required to work at the field office and LC.
∎ S/he will spend approximately 80% of her/his time in the field/LC.
∎ S/he may have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals

Salary:
∎ Tk. 55000 - 65000 (Monthly)
