Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Protection and Education in Emergencies for Rohingya refugee children and host communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh Project under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox’s Bazar with the support of EDUCO Bangladesh and AECID.
∎ The project duration 01st January 2022 to 31st December 2022 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Ukhiya with substantial field activities at camp-14 and host community at Ukhiya . The job may be regularized after completion of 3 months of services under FIVDB’s pay-scale, rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ The Technical Officer- PSS & Case Management Officer will deliver PSS & Case Management services in a timely and appropriate (quality and scale) manner to child survivors of and children at risk of abuse, violence, exploitation and neglect. He/She should work with Facilitator and Volunteers and provide them capacity building, as part of a team with support from the Project Manager.
∎ Key Area 1: Ensure quality implementation of the CM component
∎ - In collaboration with the Project Manager and other Project Officer, implement PSS & Case Management in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures at the Cox’s Bazar level, and the Inter-agency Guidelines on Case Management and Child Protection as well as the inter-agency CM Tools and Flow Chart.
∎ - Disseminate information; provide support and advocacy to individuals and families.
∎ - Identify and register cases, conduct Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments of children in need/at risk, prepare and implement case plans, make referrals to relevant services, follow up and close cases when appropriate. Organize case conferences with other actors when needed.
∎ - Maintain PSS & case management database and record case accurately and properly in the Information Management System.
∎ - Contribute to regular update of service mapping, liaise with other internal/external services, agencies through referral pathway and coordinate cases within the framework of inter-agency cooperation.
∎ - Participate in team meetings, weekly one-to-one supervision with CM Team Coordinator.
∎ - Collaborate with FTR team, ensure that referrals are clearly documented and that services are provided to Unaccompanied and Separated Children and Orphaned Children.
∎ - Provide regular updates to project manager on the progress of the implementation, challenges faced, and additional support needed.
∎ - Participate in trainings offered by EDUCO and within Inter-Agency level.
∎ Key Area 2: Staff Capacity Building
∎ - Support in design and facilitation of capacity development activities/training for volunteers in the areas of PSS, CM guiding principles, identification, registration, case planning, referrals, follow-up, and case closure, communicating with children, identification of signs of abuse, working with community structures, providing psychological first aid, etc.
∎ - Provide on-the-job coaching and support to the volunteers.
∎ Ensures that FIVDB policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures
