The organisation is also registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau and the Micro Credit Regulatory Authority, of the Government of Bangladesh that advances children`s rights and equality for girls. ∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Multi Year Resilience Program (MYRP) top up funding under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox`s Bazar in partnership with Plan International Bangladesh (PIB). The duration of the project is 17 Months (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Ukhia with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities. The job is contractual for the project period with a three (3) months` probation period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Officer- PSCD will be responsible for the implementation of the Pre-service Capacity Development (PSCD) intervention of Rohingya female which will support Myanmar Curriculum and PSCD component targeting children aged 7 -17. S/he will ensure the delivery and achievement of programme outputs in particular support for the identification and mobilization of potential female trainee in camps, Master Trainer in displaced communities, plan, facilitate and support for the session Rohingya female trainess, facilitate training, contribute to delivery of education activities for targeted. S/he will communicate frequently with Technical Coordinator-Myanmar Curriculum for quality delivery of project activities, expenditure, reporting and donor compliance. S/he will also communicate with Technical Specialist- Myanmar Curriculum (PIB) for technical issue. S/he will take proactive stance in identifying and mitigating child protection and safeguarding related risk in the implementation of the project interventions and will represent FIVDB at Camp and sub district level. S/he will be reportable to Technical Coordinator-Myanmar Curriculum .
∎ Key Roles and Responsibilities:
∎ Assessment:
∎ Support education needs assessment as needed in intervention target areas;
∎ Review, assess and update the education situation in areas affected by emergency (including, but not limited to depending on the context, access and barriers for vulnerable groups including girls and children with disabilities, barriers for teachers/facilitators, safe learning environment for children and teachers/facilitators, quality of learning and teaching, conflict sensitivity, community participation, etc.);
∎ Identify potential female for the PSCD program following criteria in collaboration with community /stakes
∎ Support to design formative assessment for PSCD trainee progress tracking .
∎ Highlight education related issues requiring an immediate or medium-term response and inform the Coordinator and Project Manager;
∎ Project Implementation:
∎ Prepare monthly activity plan following quarterly plan and ensure effective implementation of PSCD intervention as per planned in collaboration with community and stakeholder.
∎ Track the progress of PSCD activities and provide regular update to the coordinator and specialist.
∎ Conduct session with PSCD female trainee at camp in a regular basis following plan and maintaining standards;
∎ Participate in education programme review meeting at camp level;
∎ Support to develop formative assessment to keep regular learning progress of learners.
∎ Gather and provide information for progress reports to ensure timely implementation of basic education and learning activities;
∎ Facilitate to engage parents, communities and other stakeholders for effective implementation of PSCD intervention.
∎ Ensure early and rigorous implementation of quality and accountability mechanisms.
∎ Staff Capacity Building:
∎ Find out gaps and facilitate capacity development activities/training for volunteers/facilitators in the areas of Myanmar curriculum;
∎ Support to prepare training schedule and materials for PSCD intervention and conducting quality session for PSCD female trainee and other volunteers.
∎ Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring support to the Program Organizer, Resource Instructor/Master Trainers, Female trainee in technical aspects of the program and cluster coordination and
∎ Support to prepare training manual/module for conducting quality training for PSCD trainee and other volunteers.
∎ Facilitate and engage parents and community group , build their capacity and engage them to promote girl’s education, GVB risk mitigation and facilitate prevention of bullying and harassment.
∎ Monitoring And Reporting:
∎ Regular visit and monitoring of PSCD activities and take initiative for further improvement based on findings.
∎ Collect and input the monitoring data into system.
∎ Support during donner progress report by providing necessary quantity and quality data
∎ Document challenges, best practices and success stories for sharing the learnings;
∎ Assist the M&E Officer, PIB MERL team and Technical Specialist-MC(PIB) in data collection and storage;
∎ Support the monitoring and reporting of major concerns on education and as well as child protection concerns inside and around the learning centres/spaces and
∎ Facilitate and support conducting different assessment including formative assessment related to PSCD;
∎ Support reporting and evaluation of EiE programmes outputs, outcomes and results achievement
∎ Information And Co-Ordination:
∎ Provide regular updates to the Technical Coordinator on progress, priorities and constraints -verbally and written on an agreed and
∎ Communication with IPs regarding field implementation and smooth PSCD program
∎ Engage and follow up with relevant implementation staff
∎ Child protection, gender equality and inclusion:
∎ Ensures that FIVDB and Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), PSEA Policy their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 54500 (Monthly)
∎ 10% of the Basic Salary will be deducted as Staff Security Fund (Payment made after project closing/ Leave from FIVDB)
Deduction of Tax at the source
Yearly Salary Increment(Up to 5-10% based on Performance Appraisal and budgeted provision of the selected project)
