Job Context:
∎ Suchana- ending the cycle of malnutrition in Bangladesh, is a multi-sectoral nutrition programme aims to achieve significant reduction in stunting amongst children under two years of age in Bangladesh. The programme adopts an integrated graduation model to nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions to prevent chronic malnutrition within the critical 1,000 days from conception to until a child reaches its second birthday. Suchana consortium includes: technical partners – Save the Children (SC), Hellen Keller International (HKI), WorldFish, International Development Enterprises (iDE); implementing partners – Centre for Natural Resources Studies (CNRS), Friends in Village Development in Bangladesh (FIVDB), Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS); and research partner – icddr,b.
∎ Part I: Job Statement
∎ Under the guidance and coordination of Deputy Programme Director- Suchana, the position Manager – Advocacy of Suchana Programme in Sunamganj district will support Suchana program management in his/her capacity in the areas of coordination and collaboration to replicate best practices of Suchana which include strategic planning, meeting, liaison, collaboration and consultation with relevant GOB departments at district- and upazila-level. S/he will work in close coordination with the technical partners and program leads to in support of implementing their replication plans and relevant activities. This position will ensure quality services to internal and external stakeholders in line with the Suchana Program’s SOP and other Policies and Procedures.

∎ Location : Sunamganj district with selective upazilas

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A. Planning, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and advocacy at district, upazila, and union levels - 50%
∎ Joint monitoring visits with the first-, second-, and third-line supervisors of MOHFW in selected upazilas to identify gaps in NNS service delivery for necessary actions
∎ Attending monthly/quarterly meetings of MOHFW (district & upazila levels) to discuss about the gaps identified through joint monitoring visits and individual observation and follow-up meeting recommendations
∎ Advocacy with MOHFW at subnational level for timely requisition of nutrition logistics (e.g., IFA, F-75 & -100) to ensure availability in the service delivery points
∎ As directed by Technical Manager-Nutrition organize meeting/workshop/training as appropriate
∎ Ensure all program implementation as per the work plans.
∎ B. Capacity development and system strengthening – 20%
∎ Orienting multisectoral annual nutrition plan template to the district and upazila nutrition coordination committee members
∎ Hands on support to DNCC & targeted UNCC members to prepare multisectoral annual nutrition plan
∎ Facilitate DNCC & UNCC meetings, including follow up implementation of major decisions of the meetings
∎ Training/supporting DNCC & UNCC members on online/paper-based reporting of multisectoral annual nutrition plan implementation status
∎ Capacity development of frontline service providers of MOHFW through on job coaching and supportive supervision
∎ System strengthening in order to strengthening nutrition governance in selective working areas
∎ C Coordination with external and internal stakeholders and participation in stakeholders meeting - 20%
∎ Coordinate with relevant GoB departments, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders, and facilitate/re-activate existing coordination platforms to ensure effective delivery of programme interventions in a coordinated and coherent manner.
∎ Attend district/upazila/field level coordination meeting organize by different GoB departments and Suchana as required.
∎ Keep close contact with technical and program leads of Suchana consortium partners on planning and execution of GOB collaboration.
∎ Coordinate with UNICEF and other NGOs at district level to support facilitation of NNS service delivery
∎ C. Programme Monitoring and reporting- 10%
∎ Able to analyse DHIS2 and FMIS data to present at the monthly/quarterly meetings of MOHFW
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly report on the program implementation, including microplanning.
∎ D. General
∎ Ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor as and when required.

∎ Knowledge on public health and nutrition programming particularly SBCC and Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition.

Salary: Tk. 40000 - 45000 (Monthly)
