Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kallayan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. Since the 2017, SKUS has been working on Rohingya refugee influx in Cox`s Bazar district in the field of Education, health, Child protection, GBV, MHPSS and SRHR among the Children, adolescents, women, and men with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ Recently SKUS has signed an agreement with Plan International Bangladesh to implement a project lilted "Lifting Healthy, Empowered and Protected Girls and Women in Cox`s Bazar (LEAP)` at Rohingya Camps in Ukhia Upazila and the Host community of Ukhia Upazila under Cox`s Bazar District.. SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of Technical Officer -GBV for the project mentioned above supported by Plan International Bangladesh.

∎ Plan International Bangladesh is the lead of this consortium project with HOPE Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh (HOPE), Partners in Health and Development (PHD), Samaj Kallyan O Unnayan Sangstha (SKUS), and Mukti Cox`s Bazar which funded by the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and technical supported by Plan International Bangladesh. LEAP will employ a comprehensive, integrated programmatic approach by engaging a variety of stakeholders and facilitating gender- and adolescent-responsive and inclusive (GARI), Sextual and Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR), Sextual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services by strengthening government health systems, including establishing/strengthening referral linkages (from community to health facilities and between different sectors) to bring transformative change among the most at-risk adolescent girls and young women in host communities and camps.
∎ Technical Officer - GBV will provide technical support to Plan International Bangladesh and consortium partners to implement a high-quality GBV intervention, support integration with SRHR of adolescent`s girls and young women (AGYW) in all their diversity in Cox`s Bazar host communities and refugee camps. This position requires technical skills, provide technical guideline to the respective partner organizations.
∎ S/he is responsible to implement quality GBV programme at field level, maintain documentation of project`s learning and good practices at field level. Maintain sound working relationship with different stakeholders and partner organizations (PHD, SKUS, Mukti Cox`s Bazar and HOPE Foundation) for better quality implementation of GBV services.

∎ Duration : 26 Months (July 2022 to August 2024)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Officer is responsible for quality ensuring and improvement of the GBV intervention of Plan International and partner organizations (PHD, SKUS, Mukti Cox's Bazar and HOPE Foundation) as per the signed agreement.
∎ S/he is responsible for the timely and quality implementation of GBV activities.
∎ S/he will be responsible for GBV risk identification, mitigating safeguarding issues of children and young people and gender risks, implementation of interventions by Plan International Bangladesh.
∎ Coordinate with the adolescent group, keep records of group activities, and make monthly plans.
∎ Maintain all necessary documentation and reporting related to GBV protection.
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, bi-weekly reports and monthly as well Plan International and partner organizations.
∎ Participates in different meetings with stakeholders, partners and Govt. officials at field level.
∎ Maintain sound working relationships with community influential, local government representatives, administration and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Manage visitors & donor delegates and organize team meetings and training at field level.
∎ Provide training and frontline support to the volunteers
∎ Provide support to the staff in relation to material, requisition, administrative, billing and logistical needs to enable their work efficiently.
∎ Follows up each case of GBV systematically to its logical conclusion by involving stakeholders and law enforcement authorities where necessary.
∎ Provide technical supervision to the staff including giving guidance, building capacity, advice on their work, maintain attendance record and monitor and evaluate their performance.
∎ Supervise field based Mentor/Facilitators with the support of Project Coordinator and others project staffs.
∎ Linkage, coordination and collaboration with relevant government, non-government department, national, International and UN agency.
∎ Organize and conduct Meeting, training, workshop and advocacy with relevant stakeholders.


Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years' experience in the development field along with 2 years of experience in GBV project.
∎ Sound knowledge on GBV and GBV Case Management.
∎ Excellent planning, analytical, organizational and decision-making skills
∎ Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies
∎ Basic IT skills (MS word, Ms Excel MS power point, internet browsing & e-mail communications)
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience within the range
